Welcome to the first podcast I’ve done in six months! Today, my brother, Adam Gunn, joins me in a casual chat about being a bellman in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the 90’s —where we would like to go back, smash some pumpkins or remember 1979. I’m gonna bring him back to talk about his band days in Vegas, and maybe some set stories from his childhood acting days.
I am hoping to revive this little nugget monthly because it’s fun! And also, last year I changed the name of my Substack to My Unframed Life — so it was time to do a re-set and re-fresh :)
If you haven’t listened to anything I recorded from The Family We Keep podcast, there’s some cute ones with my sweet (and still very British) mama. Plus some other things, like the last one with my youngest son, Ian, interviewing our brother, Jim, who was a war planner in the military for a decade of his very long career in the Air Force (it’s extremely insightful and had a lot of downloads).
Once again, my ultimate goal is to keep going, stay creative and write/record my heart and interests for another generation. Perhaps my grandkids or their grandkids will appreciate this someday… and just when they think they do not have a purpose — they will get busy after learning that their Great Great UrbaNa Nana never gave up. Nor should you! (okay, I grew up in Arleta, Pacoima, on Urbana Ave.)
