Aw, Deb! This is so sweet. Congratulations on a mariage that’s stood the test of time; what a beautiful story. And oh, those wild and free young love days when nothing else mattered 💕. I love the video, too. Have the best time, and I’m looking forward to our new adventure together!
Oh Jenn! Thank you so much :). Grabbing a minute here! It’s been good to get away but it’s been unusually hot! ick :). So finally tomorrow is cooler and we head to Sedona from Prescott. Doesn’t time pass so quickly? I loved those days. Wild and free for sure! I can’t wait for our new adventure too! And our collab. My eyeballs are on the alert :) lol.
I went on an adventure, too 😂. Last minute. Getting my brain back in gear for my real life and our collab, too! I hope Sedona was gorgeous and you are having the best time ❤️
ha ha! You should have seen me in downtown Williams! Ridiculous! but hysterical because I feel like most everything I saw was a combo of our colors! hummmm. I’m going to email you next week when I get started!
It was the best time! I feel full and blessed seeing something different, meeting people, learning about their stories, and the food was amazing. Plus the weather went from two days of extreme heat to back on track, spring-like (thank God!!!). Happy Easter again to you all! oxox
Deb. I am seeing our colors everywhere, too. It’s crazy, but a funny blessing as I take greater notice and find more joy. No rush, we will email about it and make something fab. I am so glad you had a good time! I can’t wait to hear more. Enjoy your weekend, and happy Easter!
Love you brother. Thank you. It’s been a long road but we did it! I’m finally here for a minute. Promised myself I would take a break. We owe you both a call! Finally cooler weather tomorrow and heading to Sedona! We will ring on Sunday sometime :). oxox
Happy #40 to you and #45 to us! I tried to copy and paste a picture of the artwork we have hanging in our bedroom, but it wouldn’t copy and paste. 😞 Anyway, it says, “Love is patient, Love is kind.” Sound familiar?😘 Our marriage journeys are quite similar, you just know how to express it so beautifully. Cheers and blessings!
Oh my!! #45 on Easter! So good :) Why haven’t we celebrated together? hummm? We must do a belated dinner :) I will email or p.m. you when we get home and see if we can put something down after Easter.
I love that you have 1 Corinthians on your bedroom wall :)
We love you both. Happy Anniversary to all of us! oxox
Thank you so much Mary! We are doing good. Took the dogs and all going smooth - except a bit hot for a few days. Finally cool over the weekend and will be easier to explore :) oxox
I’m eagerly looking forward to your collaborations with Jenn and Krissy! What a fantastic team you all make! ✨🤗✨
Happy Anniversary to you and John!
💘💘💘 That little Cupid lady truly seems like an angel sent from above. 😇💖😇
I can't help but reminisce about my own experiences with my first husband, as we explored Orange County and beyond. We often drove down to Mexico to enjoy lobster on the beach, returning late in the evening. I doubt that's something you can easily do these days! Lol!
Enjoy your time in Arizona! This is such a perfect season for travel! Also, I’m still dreaming about that idea for a book and movie that takes us back to a time when Southern California wasn’t so crowded. During my last year in college, I was training to be a paralegal and was hired by the law firm that trained me right after graduation. Part of my role involved filing court papers, so I would visit different courts in Los Angeles and Tustin daily. I’d leave around nine in the morning and return by noon after hitting three or four courts. Now, it feels like it takes forever just to get to LA from Orange County! Okay, I may be exaggerating a bit, but not by too much! Lol!
Wishing you a wonderful romantic vacation, and I can't wait to see you when you return! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Charlotte thank you so much! We are looking forward to cooler weather for Sedona over the weekend.
I, too, can't wait for what Jenn and Krissy will contribute! They remind me of myself when I was younger trying to find the quiet corners to create while raising children. I want to showcase their work.
I just wrote you on another comment thread about our similar experiences in SoCal! I bet we crossed paths many times! Isn't it crazy too that the freeways back then weren't widened yet it was quicker and now it's insane! I do remember the bad traffic in the 80's though. I worked for Golden West Airlines for almost two years until they folded and I'd get dumped off at 2 p.m. into three hours of traffic from LAX home to Agoura. Horrible and I smelled of smoke because some genius thought people should smoke in tiny metal tubes 30 thousand feet high! ugh! love, deb. oxox
Mahoosive congratulations Deb & John! 40 years!! How wonderful!! Thank you for sharing your real life love story! I had goosebumps reading it. How beautiful and so obviously the two of you were destined to be each other's!
As I was reading I thought to myself.. this story would make a great book and movie! Many congratulations to you both. Many blessings to you both x
Dear Dom! Thank you so much. Where does time go? I love our story and it would be so fun to see it in a movie! So kind of you to say that! Ahhhh the scene in the grocery was my favorite. I’ll never forget it. I feel blessed we had that wild and crazy time of it. I really treasure the days.
Oh that’s such a sweet story about the lady telling him to take you out for a taco. Just precious.❤️ Wishing you and John a wonderful anniversary and many
Thank you friend! I can see it like yesterday. What a treasure that time was. She was a “regular” that John would cut the lettuce in half for or whatever an elderly person might need. I will never forget her sauntering over to us and egging him on to take me out! He went red but she waited for him to say something. It would be a good scene in a movie!
