Thank you friend. What I find to be so sad is that this isn't rocket science. We have become a nation so desensitized to respectful, normal behavior in media that it's acceptable on all sides and it demonstrates the absolute worst to children. It's normal for them. Like breathing.
Such a good message. I love how our Lord protected you both from John, to your neighbors being gone for the sale and move. What a blessing to have moved on from that time in your life. Oh how I wish things in this world were different. One moment at a time is what we do until things turn around. Take care Deb 😊
Thank you friend. I left our neighbor's name out - (his name wasn't John :) - but I think you knew of him. He overbred dogs to the point where he had 13 at one time. Always on the defense with anyone who looked at him wrong - which is a sure sign of wrong-doing. A real bully. God was good to us to keep us busy and level-headed. It didn't help our insides, nor our stress level - which was a huge challenge to our marriage. We might have done a bit better without that sandwiched situation - which I wrote about - as the neighbor on the east sold her home soon after and we got an even worse situation. Only God helped me survive. ox
Thank you sweet friend. I answered a friend above that it's so sad that something so obvious - the meanness in media - has become the absolute norm and sets a terrible example to children who are already overwhelmed. It's mainstream to bully in all forms of media. Culture and ideologies say it's "okay." No thought about it. All self-serving, until the "next thing..."
Today's world is especially full of space invaders, mostly thanks to technology & a severe lacking of respect & principles. Seems the only way to deal with it is not just looking in the mirror but also looking out of it.
Absolutely well said Adam!!! There is so much more to life. What worries me is the overwhelming noise coming at the young and the "acceptance" of the worst in humanity and the confusion, that at the same time, it's wrong. All the work of evil. It takes a VERY awake parent or elder who finds energy, no matter how busy they are, to stay on top of it. oxox
This does bring back some past memories. When someone we knew acted in a particularly mean or obnoxious way with no good reason and then tripped and fell over hard, one of us (Guess who) could not resist sarcastically commenting, "couldn't have happened to a nicer person". Just a little gloat!
Excellent Deb. So true but so sad.

Love the feeling & truth in your writing
