Bless you beautiful. Heartfelt. Amidst the chaos of the world, remember that every single day, a smile and some patience makes it a slightly better place xx
Bless you too friend. I poured. I remember how good things are too. How blessed we are. I just added my favorite Bethel music song by Brandon Lake. It makes me cry. I love how music moves us. My words do fall short, as we all fall short. I know the earth was made beautiful just for us. That is worthy of love and honor. All the madness is the lack of spirit and respect for it. For themselves too. Hope you have a peaceful week ahead. Thank you. ox
Beautiful and soulful… so much truth in perfect words. 9/11 I’ll never forget as my granddaughter was born the morning after. And our kids with guns…oh my! This really gets me…the recent school shooting here in GA. 🥲😢 His father has been arrested too. You’ve covered so much, gives us pause to look and see what can we do better. The prayer, the song… so touching! What an amazing writer you are… when you pour, you’re so creative, so brilliant. 😌Bless you sweet girl!
Oh my, a baby granddaughter the day after? With tragedy always comes blessings. I had to pour because it was coming out of me. So strange too because that image is in our hallway, by our bedroom and I knew I wanted to use it but didn't realize how close 9/11 was. Kinda crazy. So appropriate. I normally mourn this day and force myself to look through a huge book of collected images. Never forget. Thank you so much my dear friend. It means so much coming from you. ox
Love the image/your photograph…and that you enlarged and framed it! How striking that must be in your hallway! 😊 I have taken her to NYC to see memorial… even when she was just 12 she said no Grma, no pictures. We cried and held each other. Her first stop everytime she goes now… via subway, long walk! Yes…even as the news was on tv all over delivery room and then mama’s room we also had happy tears of joy! ☺️💕
Oddly enough I forgot about 911, until reading your poem Deborah. I’m not sure how that’s possible, but I did. I get a sense of sorrowful lamentation and a call to action. Vacillating between the two, and then a shift from despair to a plea for redemption where in a glimmer of hope lies. It really makes me contemplate the state of the world. 🙏💜✨
Dear Charlotte, oddly enough I forgot too! I woke up Saturday morning, looked at that picture on our wall and felt this coming on. Then I realized on Sunday that 9/11 was very close. And you read me very well. I was pouring it all out. I believe we must be prepared for more hard times ahead this election season and beyond. Listen to that incredibly moving song at the end. Brandon Lake is so cool. This song moves me to tears. He's with Bethel Music, which was founded in Redding, Ca, at Bethel Church and featured on a song called Graves Into Gardens by Elevation Music (which is touring right now and a young girl, I LOVED on last years The Voice, Mara Justine, is touring with them! Here she is at the finale' singing with her coach (one of my favorite songs by The Eagles) - Her voice and Brandon Lake's voice - sooooo good! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoVewm-45yo Christian music has come a long way. Most of it is crossover. Anyways, thank you so much Charlotte for reading and supporting me with so much love and kindness. oxox
Oh I literally poured not remembering it is right around the corner and I cried at church today knowing how good God is. So many people read, out loud, scripture that touched their heart, their stories, etc. Just the scripture. No explanation. Many brought to tears reading. It was so moving. I am a very "between the lines" kinda of pourer. Then I turned on some music at home and heard my favorite Brandon Lake song (I added it below) and that sums up the end of this past week with the crazy stuff. What more is there to say? Hallelujah, He is so good. Love you dear friend. Thank you. ox
Oh I poured the way I've been called to do. We are being prepared to stand strong in the storm ahead. At the same time I love this earth and all that God has created for us to enjoy while we are here. I cried in church and then heard my favorite Brandon Lake song - so I just added it. What is left to say? We pray. Love you Karen. Hope you and Brett are keeping well. ox
Thank you Jules. I poured. But I cried during church today and then I heard my favorite song again, that speaks to my heart - so I just added it. God keep you. Hope you've had a good weekend. Have a peaceful week. ox
There is no rhyme or reason for an unprovoked attack
Don't let this be the season for pure evil to come back!
Amen mama!! AMEN. I love you and your wit! Thank you. ox

Wow... Eyeing September 11th on the calendar this morning and I can hardly believe it's been 23 years.
Your sentiments are right on, my friend.

This was beautifully written. Tragically soulful.
