I stop listen to, reading the disgruntled. We do keep community and fellowship, our manners, gatherings, know and do the right things, spread kindness and hope, share a smile, a hand, hope. Grateful for your words… aim for Heaven is how we live…if you are reminding us to be better, thank you, dear Deb! Your heart and the quotes and the way you express matter so much. Thank you for this. Love always. Amen. 🫶🙏💓
Oh I know you are so good at this! I’ve been impatient and not doing my best lately - but am reminded I can always do better. I need to collect more joy and less anxiety at times. Thank you so much for this. oxox
Beautiful leaves, and I coincidentally wrote about it today. “Komorebi is a magical word describing the effect of sunlight streaming through the leaves of trees, the interplay of light and leaves. Watching leaves dance and sing in the wind is a beautiful wonder. And in autumn, they shine fiery against brilliance in the sky. Lay on the ground and watch them move and sway, some falling, floating to the ground as you peer through them at the azure sky above. There’s even a specific word for autumn leaves, adding to their exceptional significance —kōyō.”
Imagine Deborah, a world where everyone followed Jesus’ Golden Rule? We would have no problems on earth. ✨💜🙏 Thank you for this reflection! Amen!
Yesss, in your latest piece about Japan! It’s just like that with these fall leaves in the sunshine! I have been watching our tree slowly turn and it fills my soul. Beautiful wonder as you expressed. Thank you so much. ox
It’s like they reach their zenith of higher growth and understanding, then go back for more, coming back in the spring with new life and meaning. We learned so much from God’s exquisite nature.
I respect C.S. Lewis and read all his books. But it seems that many people who claim religious belief and faith, and speak about the afterlife, the coming of messiah and the perfection of life, view the Earth as theirs to dominate and this includes the domination of all of the species that reside alongside us. What kind of Earth would that be?
Well, the answer is ours to behold. We humans made the Earth just the way it is. We are responsible for the mess. We are responsible for the violence, the hunger, the poverty, the greed, the selfishness, the alienation, the anger, the sadness and the despair. We humans did all this.
These same humans do not seem like responsible stewards of Home Earth.
You could look at heaven, but do not forget home. To use an analogy, before you take a trip, you ensure your house is in order. We need to get our house in order.
Yes. And I believe what Lewis means to live on earth as if it were heaven. Treat each other and the earth as such. A respect of these gifts will definitely turn us heavenward. For those who disrespect, burn each other and scorch the earth, well all of us will still have to account. So best to "aim" by being a good steward of God's earth and each other. It's a dream that can only be realized by our individual reality.
P.S. I wrote "My Two Cents" for Lighthouse a bit about personal responsibility. More geared after all the election meltdowns, but just the same., so much blindness, selfishness, idols "fleeing" (as if that helps anyone suffering on our streets, etc).
humans are responsible for the mess they made on earth. For those following the Bible, it states those who wrecked it will be left to clean it up. That’s the definition of Gehenna. It’s a big trash dump. And hell is cleaning it all up.
It also says they all wish to die and can’t take their lives. They are left for eternity cleaning up their big mess! They sold their souls to the devil, and got all their goodies now by raping the earth. But that will be rectified in the next realm. I believe it!
So wonderfully uplifting, thank you. There is a lot of complaining and this is the perfect message for this Thanksgiving week. Look for the high, the good,, and focus on that. Just lovely ❤️ thank you, Deb
Vince Lombardi got it pretty well right when he said, “Aim for perfection and you can achieve excellence. Good stuff, Deborah.
Thank you Charles! Love that quote :)

Yes, much is a distraction to taking care of what is right in front of us.

That is entirely fair & just.🕊🐦🦜
