Deb, You just gave the most valid testimony as to why you should be convincing the family and yourself to re-locate.to the sublime pastures of Oregon.

I’m struggling to find you on here these days, it’s frustrating! I love that Abacab song, I saw him perform it live a long time ago. I have a letter from Phil Collin’s somewhere, handwritten, apologizing for not having time to afford me an interview. Lovely man! Sounds like I would not like to drive in your area either… Glad I found you tonight❤️🙏

And you have been removed from me recently! You were one of my few friends there in my feed. It’s really frustrating - which is why I don’t care if I tag now! I LOVED Genesis and Phil Collins! Can’t believe you almost got an interview! Were you doing journalist stuff? And this song is such a driving song right? It was a crazy day! And I drive a 6-speed sporty car so I was very tempted to go madly fast - but my grandchildren have trained my mind not to be tempted unless getting out of a situation. Thank you Cesca and hope you’re doing well. oxox

Oh Deb, after a trek to town, 40 minutes south, where there are needed supplies, and food ready to eat, and drive-up cappuccinos ready to drink, and every sort of place to buy stuff, save on things, stock up on sale items, and at last when I am on Hwy. 17 heading north, I am SO happy to be leaving civilization and going home even if home means the same ol' same ol'. I like the same ol' stuff. It's way funner than watching rain fall from the windows of a shopping centre and me calculating when I can dash out without being drenched and my parcels too. I would rather be home and decide to go out into the rain with a crazy purpose like seeing how many ducks are on the Poop Deck (a floating dock where ducks like to poop) and what the water temp is at the end of our dock, and watch the mist roll out or in at the end of the day ... <3

Jenni! ha ha! I think once you move out to the country it becomes more of a mental block to be in civilization! It’s EXACTLY how we feel coming home from rural Oregon (which we are taking off for our annual summer trip soon). There is a peace that we are not wanting to give up to the nerves and anxiety of the city — Arriving over the hill to the 210 speedway, last freeway home, is never my favorite. Depending on the time of day - we might sit for hours :( I do everything to put it off, just as well, when I’m home. I constantly ask John, why? The answer is family has spread out all around us and two of the grandkids are still local. We wait on God’s prompt as they and we age. Oh and that floating dock sounds like a great place to write (amongst the duck poop! yay! I’ll take it! ) oxox

Really, Nana Nascar?

Thanks for the indirect heads up on your bumper car adventure. Sorry that happened but glad you're ok. When you can drive away from an accident, that's a positive!

...& that was a fun night at Vamp'd 😁📷🥁 Great music venue, bummed they had to shut the doors.

lol. Omg Adam. I just couldn't process on Thursday night. One of those things, again, where there's nothing you can do but “your best” to move on.

It was a total “you can't make this up kinda day.”. And Nana Nascar indeed 😅🤦‍♀️😩 🏎️💨

And whenever I hear Genesis I think of your drumming. Don't ask me why? It's a driving force thing (there I go again with the punns! to the punn-gunn master!). That was a super fun night. Love you 😘 ox

Deborah, you ain’t alone.

Driving around here. If you’re not at 20 over the limit, someone might as well be in your back seat. 65 limit on the highways….not fast enough ‘cause of those who insist doing 95 and slalom on top of it. Stop signs and traffic signals - good effing luck ! It’s amazing how many local stories of head on wrecks, cars in the ditches or roll overs. Parking lots…be careful because of the same of what happened with you…and that includes walking thru the lots too !! You’re on your own…good luck !

Then the damn apps ! Stores claim to have wi-fi….until you boot the app for your coupons or in store discounts…then you are not connected.

Honestly…I’m sick of society today. Too many damn idiots, too much rules for thee not for me and the rest being screw you self indulging pric*** (sorry, you’re a lady - I do recognize that 😜).

Finally, another quality song from that Abacab album, “No Reply (at all)”. How apropos for what Substack “elites” do (not) to fix issues causing you to actually have to tag people in order for them to see your stuff.

Ok…rant over. Can you tell how frustrated with it all ???

My dear, you ain’t alone

Ken! I don't mind your rant not one bit! lol! Hence my story! Part rant! Part watch for that big cat! Part gratitude for pulling into the garage alive! Rant anytime!

And right? "No Reply" is where we're at as a society. It's sad. Especially in our big cities, I know I'm not alone! I can only imagine where you're at!!

Hope you're having a good weekend so far 🙏🏻😘

and thank you for reading and making me feel less crazy 🤪

“Known for its aggressive driving (punn for sure) rhythm,” - you or the song? So sorry you stumbled, but I think you are seeing clearly the battle we face daily between good and evil. 20% off, good; California traffic, evil. Come on, you and John move to Texas!
