Oh, I love this so much. I was the kid with weird lunches, too, because my mom would make our bread from scratch. It was delicious, but I was always a little envious of the kids who had store bought bread or cafeteria lunch. One day a kid who had the same lunchbox as me grabbed mine by accident. He opened it up and found my mom’s home made sandwich and I opened his up and found a meat sandwich on store bread. I was eager to switch, but, alas, Jason ate a huge bite out of mine and it was ruined. I was mad but now I feel sorry for Jason and his baloney on white and understand why he couldn’t resist my mom’s sandwich. Poor Jason. The teachers made us switch back, but now I wish he could have finished my sandwich.

I am glad you finally discovered the right way to enjoy a pb&j 😁

It’s amazing how vivid this memory is, so special when it stays fresh in the mind. Btw, have you had orange marmalade with peanut butter in a sandwich?
