Heavenly ascension
of hopes and fears
on wings

sun and moon
refused to shine

Noisy humans everywhere. Chaos of hustle, burning rubber, clickety-clack over unseen kingdoms of God’s littlest creatures working to til soil, forage for Queens, and labor the day away. Day and night they work. Roots stretch, trees grow, worms glow, flowers sleep, lizards, birds, frogs and rodents catch June bugs and crickets. We ride on the backs of bees. Larger animals work in similar motion for their survival. Feathers of peacocks, and wings of butterflies are in perfect symmetry. The earth, a sublime landscape of God’s intricacy, intimacy, perfection and purpose. The Orb weaver spider wakes to eat her silky web, drinking in the dew of the morning. She rebuilds in the evening.
Firestorms and hurricanes, creatures scurrying, nature’s homes washed away, whole eco-systems changing under our sorrows. Flora and fauna evaporating into thin air.
As we fall, stretch and rise to hymns of grief, the tender earth and all it’s glory carries on with the weight of our stories, forgetting theirs.
Demanding nothing.
This is the nature of God’s glory and grace.

So lovely; I needed the reminder to not become wrapped up in my own dramas that I forget to notice the little miracles of nature unfolding all around ❤️
