When lauras dog lady recently passed, she said, mom, even when Lady did something bad I could never really be angry at her. She was like a baby, she knew some things but not enough to hold her fully accountable. Neglect is cruelty at its finest. In reading this chapter I am reminded of the innocent children I grew up around who were also neglected while everyone looked away. "Collecting strays"-- so many were strays in the eyes of too many adults. I loved them, my heart ached. I never forgot them. I feel like there is a deep connection in your story - that tells the story of us all. Do good when you can. Keep your eyes and heart open to any living soul in need . Pray for the rest. Sometimes( all the time ) I just sit here and think, no one would believe me. My falling in love with a tv show at age 11. Never stop watching. Visit Schuyler VA and meet the cast. Befriend Mike McGreevey whos dad wrote most of the episodes, and himself a writer, on The Waltons. Still don't know how that happened !! A random friend add on FB. And then boom. God has a great sense of humor and an incredible book of life for us. xo
