Dear Joan, I don't know what came over me, yet I know I can be bursting with thoughts. When I got the humane report of the wolf crime, my vision went directly to that horrific and now AP award winning image of Oct. 7th. I couldn't stop seeing both crimes and the way in which people can react. It lead me down a path to open up more about the world, about our human spirit, the Spirit of God. What we are focused or not focused on. Those "edges" that Ginger said I was talking about. People falling off the edges. I felt completely lead to lay out a bigger picture. Good and evil. The battle. Everywhere. We do have to pray for softened hearts and take care of each other where we can. Thank you again friend and wishing you a good weekend. Sending you a big hug. ox

Dear Elliot, thank you. I saw the wolf crime and my mind went down a path that felt completely lead. Kinda outer body. We speak so many words about how the world feels, what is happening, etc., yet the spirit is what holds goodness together. Simple, uncomplicated yet so complicated. Much gratitude and many blessings to you as well. oxox

Incredibly powerful post which is really frustrating and hopeless because I don’t know of a soul-ution to the problem of evil in this world and its perpetrators and advocates. Nevertheless it has to be said, so thank you for going out on a limb to write about this.

Victory, thank you and I know. We have no solutions, but we can pray deeply for changed hearts and minds. It's amazing the suffocating grip of evil over people, that we can't mourn collectively for all suffering. It says a lot. The Devil's expertise is to divide.

I guess I did go out on a limb but I felt very lead to "shed light." We are in a great community of writers and poets, like you, that speak bold truths. The more we write the hard stuff the more authentic our community becomes. We see who hangs on and who doesn't. Sending you much love. ox

This was a fantasic and complex piece that you can spend a lot of time on, reading and re-reading. I was drawn to it by the mention of the wolf. Our family raised wolves for generations. I disagree that they don't have reasoning powers similar to humans. Like humans you do find the occasional solitary wolf, though most--like people--need or prefer being in the company of their own. I particularly like the wolf parents leaving their cubs with an uncle while they hunt.

Dear James, wow! thank you for reading this! and for your kind comment. How cool you found me! and how incredibly cool you raised wolves! After living with a dog that exhibited a nature much like the wolf, I tend to agree with you. If they have the power of reasoning, they use it well, unlike many humans. Isn't that beautiful the way they do family life? We can learn so much from the wolf. ox

Powerful writing Deborah. The way you weave the nature of a wolf with human consciousness and the divine order touched my heart in a profound way this morning. Thank you. 🙏💖✨

It takes a talented to writer to mingle current world conflicts, zoology, and biblical analysis so successfully. But the really important part is the sincerity with which you advocate your position.

Dear Bill,

wow. This is one of the most humbling compliments I have ever had. So much was coming at my heart in this piece and I felt it important to dive deep. All of us tend to waste a lot of words and energy on the state of the world, but it really does boil down to our desire to know God's spirit. To worship Him in the spirit. In the cases of most who died during the attack of Oct. 7th, they desired peace and harmonious living. They understood violence. Their spirits were intact. I hoped that death did not sting in that sense. Thank you so much again for reading. ox
