I have to admit something. In my teenage years I enjoyed some poems, mostly by Susan Polis Shutz, as they were mostly about love. The only one I've enjoyed into my adult years was Desiderata. Deborah, your simple creative poems are REALLY capturing me. ❣

Oh my Joan! Thank you so much! That's a huge compliment! wow. I honestly feel so lead and I've been losing sleep (in a good way) with my creative spirit on fire lately. I went down for a minute, a few weeks ago, but it's in creating to live and living to create that I find life. Praying hard for so many people who have lost so much and were already grieving other losses. These disasters are feeling like a huge wrath :(. Sending you much love and hope you have a peaceful weekend. oxox

Thank you Alison! It's just so sad to see the devastation of this hurricane :( Florida and the south barely get over one and then another. I always think: earthquakes and fires? or hurricanes and tornadoes? Neither are appealing, but I think these hurricanes are insane.

Jesus is the perfect corresponding ransom for Adam. His sacrifice pays for Adam’s original sin making forgiveness by God for all of us possible, Thank you Deborah, so beautiful!

Dear Charlotte, I haven't thought of it that way lately. wow. So true. He did pay for the original sin of Adam. Thank you for always instilling your beautiful spirit into my life. We lift each other up and that's exactly what we are being called to do in this community and beyond. Making all our creativity an offering. Love you and have a peaceful weekend. ox

That’s why I love SubStack! It brings so many people together. Even if I wasn’t a writer here, I would love to be here just to read and meet people.

I love that : Making all our creativity an offering. Who is God but the Creator and we are created in his image.

I have many East Indian and Muslim friends. Many have migrated to this community. I love talking to them about spiritual subjects. One time I was explaining the important relationship between Adam and Jesus to one of them. And how none of us have a chance without proper justice served for Adam’s original sin. That was done through Jesus’ sacrifice. That opened the floodgates for us to be forgiven for our own sins. Adam’s sin acted like a virus on all humanity. This is why they truly hate Jesus! His sacrifice was a major victory for God against his battle with the devil.

Have an amazing weekend Deborah!

Yes! I absolutely love this, the way you reach out and capture hearts for God ❤️✨

I 100% agree. And the spiritual battle is great. Satan has stolen so many minds. But we know God is Sovereign and Mighty. He has His plans. They are not ours.

Love seeing this creative spark Deborah! And I also loved you posting Psalm 23. It's one of my go to's. Did you know that reciting this Psalm acts as spiritual protection? Many blessings to you and those affected by the hurricane and may their lives be restored as quickly as possible. xoxo

Victory! It’s been life giving and amazingly exhausting all at the same time! Like a ramped-up engine of creativity. After my last ode I shut the computer and sobbed. What on earth? Creating for the Creator is all I want to do. I love Psalm 23 too. It is so beautiful and comforting. Thank you so much for this. Many blessings back to you. It’s been so sad to watch what has happened across the country from the hurricane :( We realize how fragile life is and that “things” don’t matter - but our souls being right spiritually does matter. Sending you much love. oxox

Thank you friend. Watching from across the country (after all the fires our hills had) seeing this flooding and devastation, is gut-wrenching. Cities are gone. Power, roads, homes just gone. It feels like a wrath. We pray for peace in the recovery. ox

I didn’t realise how terrible it was til I read someone’s Facebook post last night and they were trying to get water. Thought it must have been the Middle East or somewhere they were based. Alas not.

Love to you xx

Well said, Deborah. Thank you for the quotes from the Bible. Robert and I are here in Florida, too, and we're okay. Helene was like the wolf with the three little pigs. She huffed and puffed and when that didn't work, she huffed and puffed even bigger. When that was rebuffed she said, "The hell witt chu ... I'm outta here!" and hours and hours later, she raced away and we could breathe again.

I really love your photography!!

Thank you for the prayers!!! We are just fine and I will pray for the others on this list. I love your mercy ode, and my littlest recites psalm 23 up to “he restores my soul” every morning from memory for school; it is the best hearing it from her tiny lips ☺️❤️. Thank you so very much, sweet Deb ❤️✨

It’s been so sad to see on the news and in stories. It’s really, really bad :( I pray for God to be near to the broken and for peace and no further anguish from bureaucracy as so many try to pick up the pieces of their lives. Thank you Jenn. ox

Thank you beautiful friend! I used to voice record some of my poetry -- I'll have to practice the rap odes though (😅) or find a cool person to do them for me! lol. I love how you inspire me too. God is so good to fuse a community of creative cheerleaders together for His good. The energy I feel is amazing. ox
