Thank you so much Jenn. I am in a reflective mood, writing between the lines, trying to grab a tiny bit of time. Dreaming about “just being” with the guy I married a long time ago and not ships passing in the night. Hoping he can retire someday. Sending my love to you and hope you’re doing good with all the Christmas stuff! oxox

Beautiful, love the cadence of the language, of reading like walking. The poem flows like the curve of the path.

Thank you so very much Heidi. It’s a longing-for-time-with-my-husband season — hoping for him to retire someday. So I closed my eyes and imagined it. I haven’t got much time to read or write these days, but completely embracing being with my mum. oxox

It’s so very intimate on so many levels… the kind of love that grows through the years. The last line…I need you to be with me! Wow, the feels! You are an amazing poet… flow writing as you say. The rhythm and vision it depicts is beautiful. Love it, love you! ❤️🤗🙌

Thank you Joan. I’m feeling the need to “just be” with my hubby. We are way too busy managing our lives apart and the evenings have been wrought with tiredness for too long. I look forward so much to the moments we get. It is treasured time. A VERY hard balance when you’re a business owner. And he requires his own hobbies, which I never deny, but can also be very tiring and exhausting and then there’s not much leftover. I decided for Christmas to get him time away with me. wink/wink. Love you! oxox
