Dearest Deborah, there is a barrage of heartfelt poetry woven into your writing...it hits my heart like a roaring train and does not let go. "This can be painful at times, but I have grown to understand that these are the things of my soul. I create for Him who gave them to me. I give them back. That is all that matters." Indeed, indeed, indeed....the older I get, the more I slowly comprehend God's presence through this difficult world of often-woe, mixed with some joy along the way. I am so blessed to be a reader of your work, precious soul that you are. Hugs and love and blessings abound for 2025.... Wendy

Dear Beautiful Friend, thank you so much for this! I have seen you post a few new pieces, and I very much need to catchup with you and several writers I love here! It has been nonstop for a few months with my mama :)

I hope you had a lovely Christmas celebrating with family! We had some sickness and missing family members but it was a loud, fun, blessed time! And, of course, I was left reflecting. I pray 2025 brings you peace and good health. You are the best. God Bless you and keep always.

I love you. ox

First of all, the photograph tells the whole story of what we yearn for, all of us, the whole creation, the whole biosphere, what gives us life. LOVE.

Without love, we are empty, sad, fearful, angry and flail away looking for answers. We have witnessed a great loss of love the last number of years, as people have closed their hearts in pursuit of everything and anything, but not love.

The children will help restore that sanity, the desired normalcy that we crave. The children and the birds, cats, dogs, squirrels and other furry beings.

Oh thank you Perry! You noticed the child whose innocence is everything that matters in this world, and that of nature and His creatures. It is most definitely what I pursue in my heart, like you. It’s the glue of our soul in the midst of all the grownup pain. It’s everything that matters. I agree with everything you said. We must pursue the spirit of love and that is learned through the most innocent and unconditional.

I hope you and your family had a beautiful, peaceful Christmas and I wish for you better health in 2025 and love always. oxox

Nicely done Deborah.

Maybe the best “true meaning of Christmas” message of this season.

May you continue to hear those bells and see many guiding lights moving forward.

That moment will stay with me a long time. God is most definitely delivering a story that feels entirely miraculous.

Wishing you peace and joy in the new year. ox

"For now my writing is “mostly” unknown to my family, much like my photography was just something I did. Not really a discussion. This can be painful at times, but I have grown to understand that these are the things of my soul. I create for Him who gave them to me. I give them back. That is all that matters."

I feel this so deeply. I asked my son if he would read my writing here and he said...maybe when you are gone. I've heard it all growing up.

I told him, that is not what I write. I mean, I am writing my memoir but not here. So I read him a piece I wrote recently. I cried reading it. There was silence, then my DIL said, Wow! That was realy well written. I'm not sure our kids can really know us. It's sad in some ways. But as you said. He knows us. He gave us these talents. We give them back to him.

Amazing Rosemary to know how many of us feel this way. Sometimes I believe it's generational (maybe more snarky) and yet it's probably normal. I was so close to my mom's story, that I carried it my whole life. I was never rude to her, but I knew it, even wrote about it here. God definitely has a plan for them to be affected by our stories at just the right time.

For now, we write and give back to Him our heart and He takes it the rest of the way ♥️😘🙏🏻
