Thanks Deborah, you express your relationship between your grandson and yourself with such love and admiration and fun and excitement and joy, it's like being in the car with you both!
Lovely photo of the palm tree also, you have captured the blue so well- it is a perfect accompaniment to the story.
Err, sorry but I also noticed a minor typo- must be the writer in me ... So he began studying to become a priest and was eventually became a bishop.- cheers for now!!!
Oh thank you Martin! and I was just going over it and caught it too! About to change that! lol! I never, ever think I am done editing and ALWAYS catch something after the fact! Drives me crazy! ha ha!
Thank you for the lovely comment. We must see all the goodness in it’s pure form and latch onto it. Hope you’re having a great weekend. ox
Yes minor edits always seem to hid to just after the "publish" button is pushed!
Today I am just going out to check the banana plants to see if we have any ripe bunches before the cyclone comes in from the coast and potentially flattens the lot!
Thanks for your prayers, the cyclone has not come to land near us as anticipated, but will likely hit the state capital of Brisbane later in the week, should bring lots of rain but the winds will be low as it is not in the tropical area but just sub-tropical.
We may get some rain out of it but the winds have died right off, so the bananas are safe. Thanks again, cheers for now!
Wonderful Deborah! When it comes to how kids experience the world, their intuition, preternatural experience, and weird, almost unexplainable moments can really tell us a lot about how they see things. Children have this unique way of understanding emotions and their surroundings that might sometimes seem beyond what we adults can grasp.
Thank you Charlotte! If only we could look at each other as children of God and remember that once we were innocent and saw the world so pure. I feel so grateful and blessed to get to hang out with them! They teach us so much. ox
Love the story. If only there is a way to have your grandson understand appreciating everything he has now and what is to come as it happens and not have to wait 40+ years to realize it. Hopefully, he can remember this adventure with you.
But then, I guess that is what life is all about. Learning lessons.
Thank you Ken! Don’t we all wish we didn’t have to get older to appreciate our life. I hope he remembers hanging out with us too. Have a great week! ox

Oh no! A cyclone? Hope you retrieved some bananas (my favorite!) and are safe and sound. I’m assuming you are used to these? yikes! Praying. ox
