Hi Mama, I believe this quote, spoken by Jesus, was to take care of oneself before correcting others and in this case perhaps these "educated" doctors could look inward a little and see the entire person they are dealing with, before making hasty judgement calls. I think that what you might have meant by it, because it really speaks to me this way too, is that only Jesus can heal and only Jesus can give us the discernment and clarity to know something isn't right and this is how medicine should be practiced. The Great Physician can speak to us about how to help people in tangible, thoughtful ways and the Great Physician can guide us along the path as well.
Free from idol worship, free from assuming that they have my best individual path to healing in their line of sight. After seeing them
kill Patrick and stare blankly as we begged for an individualized approach, even at right to try precipice, I now study and advocate for my family’s health differently. My eyes are open, my heart is broken, but alas, now I know. Thanks always for your honesty.
Dearest Friend, I can't fathom the visual pain of freeing yourself from, as you so perfectly put it, "idol worship." The tender trust we put into the medical community, to be denied all possible methods and "a right to try" to save Patrick, is beyond all imagination of what we thought an "ethical" medical community should behave like.
My prayer is that justice will prevail for Patrick and all of the lost souls that were treated so abhorrently. I pray over your family and all the families that suffered loss in the bubbles of defiant negligence. I pray for strength and peace in the process of honoring Patrick's memory with the dignity of that justice and ultimate truth. I also pray that we can seek out the angels that are still within our medical community so that we can remain hopeful.
I love you friend! The path was very long and very confused, but I am beyond grateful for some answers. God's timing is perfect and I pray that this will give me the clarity and strength I need to go forward and practice a far more holistic approach. ox

What journey to good health and mind. The pandemic really messed up everything. I'm so glad you are on a path to a whole healing. Take care Deb
