God gave you the true gift of communication Deborah. I hope you submit this to the LA Times for considered publication. Profound, and just grabs your heart with truth. My heart goes out to you and your family and a special one for your son Max all all the people and animals adversely affected by these Biblical force fires. Devastating 😞🙏✨💜🦋

Dear Charlotte, you are so kind! That's the greatest compliment ever! wow! I don't think they'd want it cause I talk about Jesus (lol) - but you always inspire me to keep going. Thank you for that. I've been listening to the Holy interruption as my friend says, praying a lot more than normal, helping where I can and worrying a bit about Max's health. These fires were definitely on a Biblical scale. It's amazing how many tears you can cry when you see the losses. Love you and thank you again. ox

Oh C.J., we are in a good place in terms of location. 20 min from the Eaton fire area. Got the wind, etc., and our hills were spared this time. Been through enough fires and this was the absolute worst. Gut-wrenching. Enough surely is enough. Our son is still out there repairing lines and I pray over his health. Thank you so much. ox

💔. Well said, Deb. And I appreciate your heartfelt poem so much. The pictures I’ve seen are horrific. I’ll keep your son in my prayers, along with the residents and first responders.

Thank you Jenn. It's been horrible for everyone all over to witness in media. We are only 20 odd minutes or more from the Eaton Fire area but can't go near it or disturb the progress of investigation and cleanup. I don't think I could handle it. After the great Santiam Fire in Oregon, near my folks, we drove up a few months later and I sobbed uncontrollably. Our home was also spared from a huge fire and it just hits home big.

It's a lot and very crushing to know what people are going through. We will be in Pasadena at a few events for the fire this weekend. Max is still out fixing power lines. I worry about his health. It's been brutal. My arthritis has flared so bad. Probably receiving his pain and the pain of others. The empath life is definitely real. Love you friend. oxox

Oh Deb ❤️. Sending you and your son and community so much love and so many prayers. I know you have been through this too many times before, and I hate that it’s even happened at all; before or now. Sending you soft, gentle hugs. Love you, friend, and your heart, too

So many stories untold. Will we ever hear them? Even if we hear the ones we've been told, will anyone else care?

So many are listening to you and others who love our people of planet earth and refuse to become jaded.

God bless you

Heartfelt writing, Deborah.

It must be so worrying right now with all what has been going on. Some of the stories I am hearing are insane.

Weirdly at the moment I am drawn to reading things about Native Americans. Currently reading “Bury my heart at Wounded Knee”. It’s very enlightening.

Love to you, yours and everyone in California xx

Thank you my friend. It's been very worrying, with a bit of high anxiety. We've been in a frozen state of mind, moving about, doing all we can, cleaning out, feeling helpless. Our area was spared. We did get wind and power outages, but it was nothing. Been there so many times. What the world is seeing is beyond gut-wrenching.

That's crazy you're reading Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee! I actually brought my dad's copy home last summer and hope to have time to read it soon. The pile grows. I am extremely interested too. It was one of dad's favorite books.

Sending much love to you and yours as well. oxox

So many tears and so much holding onto each other. Thank you so much for your kindness. I think I owe you a d.m. -- Much love to you and the critters! oxox

My sweet Beautiful Friend, I shed tears with you. We here in North Carolina are suffering also in Western NC. First a Hurricane that wiped out much, then this week, Snow. It is every man for himself. Praying for those affected all over the World. Unled by their "leaders". Shunned by those supposed to help. This is definitely the end times. All Foretold by God's word and so much worse than we ever imagined. love and blessings and my prayers always. oxoxox

Sending you much love and prayers. Biblical times. I would like your comment, but I have a glitch and can’t like comments on posts. Sending you prayers. ✨💜

These glitches are so weird - I meant to tell you that I see you on my subscriptions and I'm subscribed to you --

Whenever I publish anything I see my story go into the carousel for about 5 minutes to an hour and then it's gone for good. I think there's a lot of glitches. I've also been cleaning out "direct" subscriptions that I can't trace to an account. Substack also cleaned up our accounts and probably removed a few legit ones in the process?

I have to catchup with your latest few pieces!! I will very soon. I always have you pressed into my prayers. I see your face when I pray over my Substack friends :)

Dear Linda,

I know you have been through so much devastation - it just has to end. I feel the tides are changing. There is much work for God to do, but I feel His hand in everything. My brother-in-law, who's in his 80's, former AF Lt. Col, always says, "we're always in end times, we just don't know what part of end times we're in."

Our oldest is still out on the power lines where the Eaton Fire destroyed so much. We are tucked into a safe area by the hills that fortunately weren't hit this time. We pray a real revival over this nation. I love you my friend. We must catchup. Thank you for this. ox

"Bring us those who love You

revive this great southland

see us to a breakthrough

and let us do it hand in hand..."

Yes, Jesus, may those who have no abode learn to abide in You.

Oh my Jody! I have had my head on nothing but prayer and babysitting, doing whatever God tells me to do. It's a lot to know it's 20 min away. Max is still out there working 24 hour shifts on the Eaton Fire. Thank you so much for reading this and sharing. God keep you my friend. ox

This is all so heartbreaking, Deborah. I have my theories and a 9. earthquake could have done the same, but so much has been lost. The cuts to fire department, years of no forestry management and the water issues fall on the shoulders of the politicians but this tragedy has fallen on the backs of both the rich and middle class. That is unusual. I have family that grew up in N Hollywood and have spent some time in LA. So much history, beautiful homes, and landmarks gone. I can't imagine having to go through this if it was my neighbourhood. I was there in December/January 2005, when they had a huge rain. 24" of rain in one weekend and there were horrific landslides in Ventura, along the coast and in the hills of Hollywood. Homes slid down hills and many lives were lost but this is a different level. Many prayers for all those who have lost everything.
