The ordinary moments are the best moments and the ones we often take for granted ❤️. Thank you for reminding me of that, I pine for them, too, snapping a zillion photos because I don’t want to forget what this felt like. Krissy, this was so beautiful, the video, the song, the writing.
Jenn, thank you SO much for reading. I can tell you’re a kindred “ordinary moments” kind of gal, and that’s just so special. One of my favorite sentences in the Bible is when it says that Mary, “stored up all these things in her heart.” Of course she did. Not so unlike what we do now. <3
I am, indeed. I have never contemplated that verse, so thank you for pointing that out. How very special that this little detail exists in the Bible. Thank you, Krissy.
Oh how I love this and that verse really resonates. I too need to take that to heart. It's true of many mothers and creatives. So natural and beautiful. Thank you both for your loving ways, and again, for sharing your beauty with me. oxox
Wasn’t this piece just lovely in every way? I am absolutely ecstatic you and Krissy are sharing your heart and art here. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to you both. ox
Mariska, what an absolute blessing to read this! Thank you so much for reading, sharing, and subscribing, and I truly hope that you continue to resonate with what I put out there. I so appreciate you!
Mariska, thank you so so much for reading and watching Krissy’s piece! Isn’t it just beautiful? It really spoke to my soul too. Sending you heaps of love. ox
This is lovely. You see things the way I do. The light filtering through trees when you are riding in the passenger seat. We lived on 12 acres in the woods with my youngest five. We built a house in the city when they were teenagers. I took a photo of the backyard before we moved...all misty in the trees. My son who has the same eye as me, said...when you look at this photo, just imagine little ghost children running around the yard. That is all I have left now. Little ghost children. It's all so sad. My kids seldom call or text. We live father away from them. Hold tightly to these days.
Oh, Rosemary, thanks so much for sharing. Those are the deepest feelings, thoughts, and sentiments. I will indeed hold these days close and store them up within me for those years when things will not be the same. It’s all temporary, but fortunately the things of the heart are eternal. <3
Dear Rosemary! Thank you for looking at Krissy’s piece! Isn’t it beautiful? I can feel every bit of it as you did. All these memories. When we moved from the home we built I think it was sad for our kids too. And of course for us — two of them were married there. We also had the trampoline in the big old backyard and dogs sleeping on it. I can see the beauty of it and the pain of leaving. But we had our hard story too — and it was time to let it go. 12 acres is incredible. Our oldest son is moving his family to NorCal by June 1st. Life is changing on a dime. They want a bunch of acreage and SoCal is too expensive. It will be their first home when they find it. They have to live in their RV for three months as he proves he will stay with his new job - before a lender will lend. Placerville area. We are very happy for them, but also a bit sad to see them go.
Hi Krissy, I love the fire. Reminds me of cold nights in Mississippi where the words "it's bon fire time!" Makes memories for football games, celebration of a successful hunt or whatever we did that deserves a huge fire with music and loud talking until only the embers are left usually about 5 am. You are the perfect addition to Deb, you found a memory bank. Thank you and I look forward to your next visuals and words.
Linda, thank you so much for this. I can picture your words, and I also hold close in my heart and memory the many nights of bonfires and talking and communing into the wee hours. I so appreciate you taking the time to read, and I look forward to future interactions! <3
Dear Linda, thank you so much for reading and watching Krissy’s piece! I feel so blessed to have her and Jenn on board with their creative spirit. I love hearing about your memories and those bon fire days are the best. A real gift to our memories, especially during hard times. We sit and reflect on the good, simple, clean fun. Love you friend. oxox
