Charlotte, you give many of us lots of hope! I love how you say wrinkles are a reminder to merge our soul with our spirit. True. We must wear them well. Iβve done a lot of letting go lately. We have to keep moving forward. And I wish the dog park was fun for our Bea. Her nose finally landed us in an e.r. vet today :(. Poor girl. She busted the healing open with her hound-dog rubbing. Now she has an xxl hood on, antibiotics for preventative and some epi drops to constrict the blood vessels if she bursts it open again.
Sending you much love and hope you and Randy had a lovely Thanksgiving. oxox
Thank you Jenni! I think time and age present a paradox for older individuals. Time seems to speed up, while at the same time your body is slowing down. Time flies by at warp speed, while you just to take a nice afternoon nap.
Part of me wishes my body were younger, but at the same time embracing its new slowne allows you to pause and connect to your deeper spiritual self. I take several spiritual breaks throughout the day, and I realize, βOh, thatβs why Iβm slowing down, to get closer to God as I move towards that direction.β Suddenly all of life opens up!
Amen to that. As someone who has moved at high speed as far as I can remember, I talk to myself and tell me to stop it! I also have started thanking God for my aches, pains and difficulties! It helps :D
My oldest sister was born, and then died of leukaemia at age 3, before I was born. I sometimes wonder if I would have been different if I had her in my life.
I just thank God for everything these days; even the really awful stuff. That kind of thankfulness is a big step toward spiritual growth as we age, I've been told.
We physically fade, but the good stuff we have tried so hard to manifest will be so bright!! <3
Oh Jenni, what a story. One that would most definitely linger in your mind. God had other plans and itβs so hard to understand. Bless your oldest sister. There is comfort in knowing that one day you will be reunited in heaven. For now, I know you are living grateful and blessed for her and for you and your family. Thatβs all we can do. We have so little control. Love you friend. You are a bright light for me too. This means so much. oxox
There may be rough signs on the exterior, but you have an inner beauty like no other. A real, honest, down to earth, person. Sure, a tough week, but the roller coaster will become more friendly, and come Thanksgiving, we will all be grateful for what we have.
Be safe in your travels. When you get back next Tuesday, weβll have a celebration for your βbig dayβ.
Dear Ken, You are so kind. Can't tell you how much this means to me. It's been a rough trip getting to our destination. Some crazy stuff - but Thanksgiving is almost here and we are very grateful to be alive and with family soon ππ»
Wishing you and your family a safe and peaceful Thanksgiving. Definitely going to squeeze my eyes closed on the 2nd and celebrate another year! π₯³ Grateful! Thank you friend. ox
...and to you and your family and fur family as well. Poor Bea is doing better. Got to our destination last night. I've had a pretty crazy health fright. Feeling better. Sometimes everything comes at once.
Oh thank you Ginger! I need to catchup with you! And you have an 18 year old kitty? Miss Loli <3 How beautiful. My only childhood cat, "Alfie," lived to 22 !! yikes! Mercy! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Sending you a big hug. ox
It sounds like itβs been a tough week. A little reflecting going on there. Must be so hard for Beatrice without her partner in crime.
Your little grand daughter looks so much like you. Yes, those moments in the harsh sunlight highlight everything donβt they? I know what you mean there! Still, our souls remain timeless, and yours is filled with serenity and thatβs always the first thing people will see β€οΈ
It's been a regular week (lol) -- Just a bit more challenging and reflective. Getting off of Instagram (a blessing), taking the week off of here (good for us) -- It's a weird time/season. The holidays can be challenging, especially since we went through a long estrangement with family and still have no clue why exactly. So there's damage and there's tension during holidays. It just is. Many people grieve during this time too. You know? that underlying stuff that we carry and only express when other things go wrong? -- or the news builds up in your brain?
Thank you for your kind words. I am looking for that serenity every moment. I know you know. You are doing a good job of it yourself. Being blessed. And getting older is never smooth (lol). Life.
Lord, what would we do without dog parks!? π ππ For city people they are God-sent sanctuaries for our furry friends!
