I wonder how
He knew
under the
disappearing
dazzling of light
and white
at winter’s edge
they'd beckon
back to Him
by chance
robed in thorn
and hopeful
subtlety of stars
rising, falling
waving before
the downpour
Oh little birds
come seek
Love’s shelter
Hollowed flora
petals in darkness
sewed in
Constellations
buried under
broken dreams
lying hidden
in flurries of
madness and rage
blowing against
Majesty’s canvas
Brilliant diffusion
in the purple
of winter.
