I often think about what I would grow in SoCal, such a challenging thing due to water needs. You probably have some tricks and winning combinations. Companion planting really comes through in tough spots.
Actually am on my way to Joshua Tree in a couple weeks—looking forward to my desert time! It’s a soaring spirit kind of place. Hope you live someplace similar or get to benefit from those wide open spaces.
Lots of succulents and color when I can grow it -- but you know SoCal? it's so dramatic and we tend to dream of what we can plant, put it in the seasonal corners and nooks - and then a huge torrential rain comes or a burning heat and it's over. lol. I love Joshua Tree. I worked with photography clients there - but still have yet to explore it for the sake of it. It's a great vibe. Enjoy every minute. Great weather right now. Thank you again.
