Sacred
poem.
A soul’s lamentation
casual alienation
of alternating debates
as love acclimates
when hope is set aside
for the tears I have cried
washed over in seasons
of faithfulness
and reasons
start over again
and again
try not to pretend
the longing away
replay my ballet
in colorful hues
each one
I carefully choose
and you
in black or white
no gray in sight
dressed in melody
of undertones
and revelry
bemoans
this is my life’s
sacred poem.

Sending you much love in this season. ❤️. We are well, thank you so much. I hope you have a fabulous Thanksgiving, too!
Wow, this is stunning, Deb! And I love that the poem resembles a winding road. So good!
