Sing redemption everywhere you go hear the sound of the old black crow watching from the ancient trees tangled in the conductor's trapeze where children round the diamond dirt spirited life they do exert Praise the green grass under our feet on weekends, apple pie and tiny cleats running sounds of exhilaration, liberation in circular games of this blessed nation's promise and never-ending salvation where blue meets yellow's illustration Sing redemption of the Light in a world with no hope in sight look out the front door where lines lead you to explore the never-ending third dimension painted simple gratitude of redemption -Deborah T. Opened the front door and saw this awesome scene over the weekend. It might not seem like anything, but it reminded me of my dad. I really miss him and his passion for creating, fixing up cars. I can see myself standing in the garage watching him work on a car or his latest project. Always impressed at his tenacity for perfection and detail.
As I sat there, staring at what was left of a very, very busy street scene of packed cars, baseball parents, children, coming and going, loaded down with chairs and gear, hungry, tired, dirty mini athletes, I googled the cool little compact truck across the street, the lone baseball dad somewhere out there with his kid practicing, and said to myself, “that’s a late 80’s model…. Ford Ranger, dad would love it and tell me all about it.. is that an original color? look at how the Spring of yellow contrasts with the blues, Blood, Sweat & Tears, marshmallow skies, Oregon, where he passed away, his British accent still asking why we live across the street from a school?, maybe I should make a cup of tea? take this blessing in for a minute. Go get a camera. He sure loved America….”
Welcome to my never-ending stream of consciousness.
I wrote this for him last June. “Believe, Ted Lasso and Dad.”
Happy Sunday. Happy week ahead.
This one’s for you dad. Just five more minutes and I’d tell you over and over and over again. Thank you for the music. Thank you for everything. I love you. ox
You know Deb, what I see here is dad talking to you from above. He’s sending you a message, something you should know - something he is trying to tell you. Most likely, to appreciate something and be happy because that’s what he wants for you. Still watching over you in spirit.
Hay Deb, have you put this to music? Give it a go, send it BS&T's!!
