Because the only requirement of a dog is companionship, food, water, and a decent place to sleep. If only us humans were that simple. I grew up with pets and decided that the house is empty without one (or two or three...).

This is Beatrice at six. Abandoned for days, left tied to a tree at 10 months old. She’s emotional and hilarious. She’s a best friend. I’ve learned more from rescue dogs about love and patience.. than from most people.
