Thank you friend. It’s sad. All I feel is sad about it. It wasn’t pretty in our house by the end of Jr High, especially when high school hit. My hard working husband took offense, trying to explain so many times what fiscal conservatism is and his opinions about government, etc., but was constantly met with how stupid he was. Kids do grow up and debate with peers, with family — but they don’t need to be indoctrinated as little children. College changed everything. It’s amazing how it washed away faith, respect, literally all we valued and never demanded. I am really grateful we have three adult kids making their way, working hard, growing families of their own. I love them deeply. The journey has always been theirs. Not ours.

It’s truly tragic and it’s somewhat unseen — until it isn’t. Hard enough to see so much confusion over conviction in adults - Children do not need that too.
