I've seen the bright lime moss in winter fog God's diffused canvas. The dogwoods in spring contrasting white on nubby branches. Mist blowing off crashing waves of forested seaside coves in summer. Persimmon leaves of primary yellow and red in autumn. I've looked through windows of time in unknown seasons. Watched the sun sweep low over red barns Christmas trees dancing in distant fields. Ran my hands down the side of majestic creatures as kittens wrestled in shoe strings. Felt the drumming rain pour over my head in cities, on lakes. Miles between two states wheels churning snow. The clapping thunder of chariot clouds. Solid white in blackness. Light and dark Breath and death. Windswept summers of sand between toes. Memories of children and laughter and kites and stones. The kettle rings in four o'clock warmth. Have I changed? no but to treasure time.
Happy New Year and may God Bless you and keep you always. ox
